A Look Ahead To Our Spring and Summer Coverage
Hi Readers,
Thanks for reading City and Slopes this winter. We have now published all of our stories for the season, including everything from our magazine. As we move forward, we're looking to expand our operations to be more year-round online, with our premium product being the print magazine during the winter, in collaboration with our partners at OvRride.
We are planning new and expanded multimedia offerings for next season to get excited about.
While our bread and butter is winter sports, throughout the year, we will publish content focused on things to do in New York City, day trips around the region, and surprising weekend getaways. Whether it’s hiking upstate or heading to the beach, we will explore destinations, subcultures, and conduct interviews with major cultural icons. We aim to ensure that New Yorkers have fulfilling adventures year-round—both locally, across the country, and abroad. And of course, we will continue to cover southern hemisphere winter sports, as we alluded to in our recent piece.
By no means does this mean the winter sports season is over—in fact, far from it. You can expect places in Vermont to remain open, possibly into May. If you're feeling adventurous, head to Tuckerman’s Ravine in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where the best time to go is in April. Of course, our partners at OvRride still have several trips to Vermont (there’s a Sugarbush weekend trip next weekend) and Utah coming up that you can book. I’ve done both of these trips and I highly recommend them! Spring skiing and riding is honestly an awesome time to get out.
To our readers: We’d love to hear what you'd be interested in reading about in the coming months. To our writers: We are considering freelance pitches (once our budget is solidified). To our advertisers: We are seeking partnerships for our print magazine and online offerings. Please feel free to reach out by emailing me, the Editor-in-Chief.
Thanks again,
Andy
